I am a Glendale native and graduate of Glendale High School and UCLA, receiving
a degree in Economics. I am a CPA with over 22 years experience in accounting
and finance.
I believe that the mission of public schools is to educate students to become
responsible citizens and life-long learners. I’m also convinced that all
community stakeholders need to be proactively engaged in making our schools safe
and productive learning environments.
My two sons are students at Hoover High here in Glendale. As a parent, I have
served in leadership roles in school PTA, foundations, booster clubs, and most
recently, I served as Hoover High PTSA President.
The challenging economic times we currently face will require leadership that
can balance financial constraints and the needs of the students in our
community. I believe my combined professional and volunteer experience will give
me the unique ability to provide the courageous leadership and fresh perspective
that GUSD — and our children — need.
